(Acrylic painting)The Quiet Man Bridge is located 8km past Oughterard, on the N59 heading west. Connemara was the setting for the iconic 1950's film "The Quiet Man" starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. Much of the movie was filmed in the Cong area but parts were also filmed in various other Connemara locations. The Quiet Man Bridge at Leam, close to Oughterard is one of those locations. The location of the bridge is clearly signposted. This is a popular spot with visitors and a great place for photo opportunities.
