Fanad Head Lighthouse is a magnificent working lighthouse with guest accommodation and is a main signature point on the Wild Atlantic Way in County Donegal, Ireland. To book a guided tour of the lighthouse or a stay in any of the three restored lighthouse keeper’s cottages.
Fanad Lighthouse has been a working lighthouse since 1817. It has been open to the public as a tourist attraction since 2016. Donegal is widely regarded as Ireland’s hidden gem, an off-the-beaten-track destination with wild and beautiful places to discover. From the fantastic Glenveagh national park, to Star Wars location Malin Head, Sliabh Liag sea cliffs, the north and western Gaeltacht (Irish - speaking areas), Errigal and Muckish mountains, delightful offshore islands and heritage towns – it’s no wonder Donegal was voted Coolest Place on the Planet (National Geographic Traveller, 2017).
